Four Score

In 20/20 was the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment. Women were only then permitted by the government to vote.

If the world made any sense at all that’s when we would have had our first female president. And while I don’t regret my vote, speaking for myself only, I sure have paid for it.

It’s been a miserable four years and it’s been everything the Democrats could muster to keep us on track to where we are now. Electing the first female president in the history of the nation.

Now, we can either say it’s four years too late; or, it was worth the wait. When I think about that, all the weight that reasonable people had to carry for 1460 consecutive days will soon vanish into the ether. Never to be listened to again.

And that feels good.
